Cleaning and disinfection have always been important for optimum hatching performance. Effective cleaning and disinfection should prevent biofilm formation by removing all organic and inorganic residues, foreign bodies and microorganisms from surfaces.
Cleaning can remove about 85-90% of the total microbial load. The purpose of cleaning is to remove organic matter. Thus, it prevents the disinfectants from being adversely affected and ensures that you get better and more stable results from disinfection.
7 essential steps for deep cleaning of trays and hatcher baskets
1. In cases where routine cleaning is insufficient, longer contact times may be required, in which case pre-soaking with detergent should be done.
2. The temperature of the water should not rise above 50°C to prevent coagulation of protein residues. Applications made with warm water are ideal.
3. If there is a case washing machine, it should be ensured that the nozzles cover every point completely.
4. Belt speeds that are too high result in insufficient contact time and ineffective dirt removal.
5. A strong detergent formulated for this purpose is needed to eliminate organic pollution.
6. Acidic detergents are also used to destroy inorganic residues at regular intervals.
7. After washing and rinsing, the equipment should be allowed to dry before disinfection.
‘Challenger is the only product developed only for effective cleaning of trays and hatching baskets’
